Well worth the time and the money.
I rated this book in this way because I was just blown away by the content and the wonderfully entertaining way it was written. The writer is so well informed. Some of the areas discussed can be really confusing but Jaynes makes them so clear and so entertaining. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in tracing the appearance of consciousness in man. The section on Metaphor I found enlightening. It was made really clear.
