  • A complex, detailed and interesting book, for the "esoterically minded" reader.

This book is part of a series of detailed and very well researched books by the late Laurence Gardner. The underlying theme is the ancient origins and subsequent development of a sacred bloodline starting in ancient Mesopotamia, and moving down through the ages to the Royal Lineage of Judea and Egypt, and then on to the much branched Royalty and Nobility of most of Medieval Europe. The book was purchased from World of Books, who always seem to have a really good selection of obscure books of this kind. The book was second hand, but in excellent condition. At around £5, this is very good value for a quality hardback volume. I have since purchased the two books which follow in Gardner's ongoing study of this fascinating topic. Good value all round.
