I previously bought this book a long time ago, but sadly lost it. I'm glad I found them again, thanks eBay. If your an absolute beginner to HTML and JavaScript programming and your looking for simple guides to teach you the basics. These books are the most important ones you will ever need. They both have great examples and although the books themselves are old and they have some technology that isn't used anymore or all that much, for example The Netscape Browser (which no longer exists),tags, CGI, Internet Explorer 4.0 and Netscape Communicator. It's worth baring in mind that both books where written back in 1999. A lot has changed over the years including the technology that displays websites. and However with that said, this is as simple introduction to HTML and JavaScript as your likely to get, furthermore there are other guides in these languages called "HTML in easy steps" and "JavaScript in easy steps" which are also worth getting, but they are not as detailed. As most of the code is removed to save space. In these books you will get the entire code displayed in the book for you to try and write yourself.Read full review
