  • A Superior Novel

Harry Sidebottom's knowledge base lifts his novels above the standard type of 'Roman army adventure' [and there are several series by competent authors]. He encompasses a great deal of historical data in his writing [perhaps 'tweeked' a little to adjust timing or personalities] and leaves the reader demanding more.

  • Not Bad

Warrior of Rome depicts the Roman empire in the later part. It's a good read and I would recommend for the entertainment value alone I prefer books set in Julio/Claudia times I give 4 stars but it's almost a five to be fair.

  • Good read from a well researched story by Harry Sidebottom.

If you like fact based historical fiction about Roman Warriors then Harry Sidebottom is a good easy read. You need to read his first book to this one as it is Part 2 of the story.
