  • Wonderful escapism with a side order of political irony.

An excellent book by a justifiably renowned author, now sadly deceased, well abridged and consummately read. The only slight downside is that, to get the best from it, you probably need to have read, or listened to at least a few of the preceding books to get the context.

  • Enjoyable, witty and you can't stop listening.

Not one of the absolute best Pratchett novels, but essential reading nonetheless. The usual flair for twisting phrases and scenes is there, and Tony Robinson's narration is splendid. Thoroughly enjoyable CD and as with most of them I now need to go and read the book again. I can't think of many better ways to make a long car journey go quicker.
