My 1995 edition, although written in the author's usual forthright and entertaining way, does contain a few basic errors. Elimination of these would make the book even more enjoyable for me. As a fellow physicist I appreciate how difficult it is to avoid errors entirely but this is why close scrutiny of a manuscript is so important. I communicated some of the errors to the author over a year ago but having had no acknowledgement or update back I do not know if subsequent editions have been overhauled or whether precise scientific accuracy for the layman is not considered that important, a view which I personally do not share.
