Bernard Cornwell Rules!
Book one of this trilogy needed you to invest time in understanding the large list of characters but that effort soon pays off and the story becomes as gripping as his momentous Last Kingdom series ... there is even room for the odd shield wall as well. This 2nd of the series is gripping and typical Cornwell with tension constantly threatening the list of exceptionally memorable characters. Forget your knowledge of the fable of King Arthur and the round table .... you really don't know this story and you are in for some shocks!
