A truly missed opportunity; journalist writing has all the facts but the heart is missing, the true wonderment of retreat in such a country, the woman and why folk do this but above all if it is not you who has done the matter of the book then it is extremely difficult to convey the heart/meaning of the story. Still a good enough read but it didn't change my life! but the book came alive in the last 3 chapters. Hope it raised lots of money for the nuns.
A really interesting account of a Western woman's spiritual journey into Tibetan Buddhism, and her twelve year retreat in a cave in the Himalayas. I'd certainly recommend it for anyone on a spiritual path; I'm not a Buddhist myself.
