A good starting point
I had this book many years ago and find it invaluable as a good and basic starting point. A foundation to build upon. I have just bought this again as a gift for just that reason. Even for those getting into the bushcraft/survival hobby, the information overload out there is a minefield of rights and wrongs and one can feel overwhelmed. Use this book as a foundation and starting point and with it, and the information it provides, you'll be putting yourself in a position of independently being able to look after yourself outdoors, and that's what it's all about. The information it contains will stand you in good stead for the rest of your life. And I say that from experience..
