Anti-terrorist operations brought 72 Sqn with the Wessex. Pumas arrived in the 1990s followed later by 230 Sqn who also operated the type. Aldergrove can trace its history back to 1918 when it was first used for the testing of Handley Page V/1500s built by Harland & Wolff.

Hurry up and buy one
Even if you are not from N Ireland anyone with an interest in WW2, aviation or aviation modelling will enjoy this book. The wide range of aircraft that were based at or visited RAF Aldergrove are covered and supported by relevant photographs and for modellers colour ed illustrations. Value for money is fantastic given the original cover price so if this book is not already on your shelf or modellers bench hurry up and buy one.
