Have you ever discovered an Author who clearly captures the atmosphere and people of a historic period in such a way that you feel you are actually there when you read it ? It is so maddening when you look for other books written by them and can't find any soon enough. This omnibus edition provides the read with all the action, excitement, dangers and characters (good and bad) in these period stories of the British navy in Napolionic times. The characters are so real you feel the situations they are in and the battle scenes are graphic. Unlike Patrick Obrian who spend 90 percent of his books talking about hair styles, dresses, houses and their furnishings rather than the story itself (which could becontained in 1 omnibus if the irrelevances were cut out), Kent is a gripping author from start to finish.
