Salem’s Lot gives a lot!
I expected it to be good because I’d seen the 1970’s tv series adaptation when I was a kid which was very scary. The book obviously goes into much more detail regarding the town and characters. An immensely enjoyable read
I watched the movie years ago which drew me into buying the book. The creepy decline of the community of Salem is a real page Turner. It has a 70's vibe with the head vampire sporting a dapper moustache :). There is both frights and a smattering of great humour throughout. The characters are many and varied, all of whom are interesting in their own way. The plot develops at a steady pace, first introducing the townsfolk then the main man of the book who is unique and veers off from the standard dracula characteristics associated with vampires.i won't give away the plot but simply say if you like vampires and horror you will love this book.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
