Good quality iron for small jobs and modelling
Good priced soldering iron , used several times with no real issues. Mostly on small brass pipe and rod. Suggest getting some replacement tips, letting it stay hot for a long time shortens the tip life even when on a heat sink. That's really the only minus. It's alright
The very tip doesn't seem to get that hot so you have to use the side, which kind of defeats the purpose of a precision tip. It gets hot quickly enough though, and having used it for a long continuous period, it didn't have any issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worth it.
Ok, so is it the best soldering iron? No. Is it good value? Absolutely. Changed the pickups on my precision bass and it worked a treat. Very pleased with this. It has a good needle tip for getting to small connections and delivering the heat to a single point. It heats up very quickly and gets really hot, certainly hot enough to melt pretty large connections. No real faults with it, it is light, balanced enough for easy use, has a comfortable handle.
