  • A German flyers story

I have read a few books by ww2 German pilots and consider this to be one of the better ones. The author talks about growing up in Austria in his gliding days, the Anchluss and how he was able to fly piston aircraft following this. He talks fluently about his training and operational experiences in Russia on various front line types. I recommend this book to those wishing to have a perspective from ‘the other side’.
