Rather grusesome
Unfortunately I thought this would be like the storybooks I've bought but, although well read and written, it was too gory for my 5 year old grandson. I think for an older child it would be fine.

Beautiful fables for children and adults alike
In the 17th century, Aesop's work was reworked by the French poet Jean de La Fontaine and, to this day, French children have to learn these by heart. A great classic.
