IIt has been a long time since I read a book so very full of useful insights and it is taking me a very long time to read, since I need to pause and digest all the new information. One of the best "brain" books I've read.....
Norman Doidge was one of those responsible for bringing to the attention of the general public the fact that brain plasticity, and neuroplasticity, not only existed, but made the treatment of many neurological disorders, diseases and dysfunctions accessible, possible and successful. This book, his 2nd, gives wonderful and wonderfully clear examples and explanations of just some of the areas where doctors, scientists and patients working together have achieved remarkable, and scientifically well-documented, positive results using creative applications of the effects of neuroplasticity. If you're at all interested in understanding this hugely important area of the revolution in medicine and brain health, read this book.
