A good read
I belong to a book club and this was the book for this month's read. It is a short book and just 166 pages and has recently been made into a film. It was excellent value because it only cost me £1.94 including postage. I love buying my books from e-bay and such good value. The book itself is very different and I definitely enjoyed it. Rubbish.
Sorry but I found this to be THE most boring book I have ever read. I would not recommend buying this! It did not hold my attention at all, and I couldn't care less about the two characters or what the outcome of their story was. Just glad I got it secondhand and cheap! Title is good enough but could have been better
Ian McEwan is now considered to be a great writer when he's only average. His writing has faults. His choice of words is not good at times. The story is poignant and heartbreaking.
