What a device
Firstly, excellent support and service from droidbox. I paid the bit more and got it in 2 days delivery rather than direct from China and risk getting import tax. Thanks guys. Very very impressed. Prior to this I had the vita. Great device but limited capabilities. This gpd takes it to a whole new level. Haven't scratched the surface with the emulators it can run. But with a bit of tweeking, I have Amiga forever running no problems, and epsxe too. But that wasn't the reason I bought it. It plays PC games. Steam games. And not too badly. You may have to scale graphics down on newer stuff and yeah you won't be able to play the latest aaa obviously, but for example, I have kingdoms of amalur reckoning running no problem. Well the was a Windows 10 crash issue but is a documented win 10 issue and the fix worked.. Runs it at about 35fps and cloud saves to continue on PC! Memory cards are cheap, unlike vita ;) Can plug into a TV using mini hdmi Battery life is great Build quality it great - was expecting a plastic case but is actually aluminium. Nubs and buttons great Keyboard sturdy. Great. About the size if a Nintendo ds Plays PlayStation now (vita no longer can) Can remote play ps4 All programs and apps that can run at this level cpu can be installed Not for everyone. A bit fiddly to setup but there's a good guide, although some of the guide things have been blocked by Microsoft since April update, but there are other ways if you spend time. Gets a bit hot with high intensity games, but use common sense. I am totally on board with this and look forward to future technology improvements over the years.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic
Fantastic little device. The battery life is better than I expected it would be and the performance as well. It's great to have a little PC, running a full version of Windows right at the palm of my hand. I bought this for playing old PC games and so far, I've had great fun running titles such as Star Craft, Half-Life 2 & Portal. Its good BUT;
This is a good product, however setting it up was a challenge. I noticed upon searching the net that many other people experienced this too so I shall include it in my review. ( If it was just me I would exclude it. ) Upon first launch it booted straight to the windows desktop, no big deal but it crashed every time there after or the screen turned black. This being odd as it should launch into the windows setup program first launch. I had to wipe the operating system and reinstall it from the bios. Not something your everyday user knows how too do. Most if not all people would return it. Moving on, the battery life is good don't get me wrong, but it does not last as long as it says it will. Even just watching videos or playing 2D games. Expect to be playing for around 3 hours. Thats the bad bits out the way, the controls are amazing, I expected them to be hard to use or uncomfortable due to the shape of the base. However it is comfortable to hold and navigate all the controls. Please not L3 and R3 are located on the right hand side of the keyboard and are not clickable buttons on the sticks. A little disappointing but its a small unit and understandable. A little key remapping in game soon sorted this issue. The triggers I find are perfectly alright, a lot of reviews suggest they are flimsy or lose. The screen is bright and crisp. The touchscreen is also precise although i don't use it much. The unit occasionally gets warm when under a heavy usage load but has never surpassed an uncomfortable level or over heated. Although its only 4GB RAM im yet to feel it needs upgrading, 6-8 would be nice and a more comfortable level to have though. All in all its a good unit that has a few minor issues that no longer bother me. Highly recommend this if you want a decent portable unit. Im yet to delve into emulating. Laptop in your pocket Awesome pice of kit.
Ok its's not a super computer but this thing realy hacks a punch. The screen is small but it is true 720p so its still readable. Its super fast at booting up and with Windows 10 preinstalled getting started is easy. I have installed alot of software for HMI sistems and VFD drives on this for my work and it all worke perfectly. Games run realy well as long as its not high end gaming like ARK but things like need for speed run at 60fps Battery life is good as well. Ok the harder you work the CPU the faster you drain the battery but thats the same as everything. My only gripe with this is 64GB HDD isnt big enuthe for most people but it dose have a micro SD slot in it as well so i just added a 64GB SD to it to get more space. Also you need to use a screen protector as the screen isnt scratch resistant but you do get one with the box. Great Handheld PC
I've been using this handheld Win 10 PC for just over a week now and it's amazing. Completely faultless, and very sturdy feeling piece of kit. I've got it running FBAlpha, MAME, GzDoom, and Nebula's Sega Model 2 emulator from the Attract Mode frontend, as well as FS-UAE Arcade. It runs all of these at full speed. The joystick controls are picked up automatically by all of the emulators, work perfectly. It was supplied very quickly, including a case, cable, power supply and even a USB hub. Gpd win
This device is a lot of fun. It has its limitations but there's nothing else around like it. I've only owned it a short while but it's excellent fun playing games whilst working away from home. I've only really played half life 2 on this so far and it works flawlessly. Looking forward to many more hours of fun on this device and will get on the emulators soon. My favourite laptop.
Great little device with windows that's about the size of a phone. Button bindings make playing some games a little unusual, but custom key binds can help this. Perfect device for playing old school games on the move. Anything half life era works great.
