The Teaching of the Catholic Church in Attractive Format
This is a simpler version than the full catechism so is a handy reference for a quick look up, but if you need more detail the full edition is worth getting. The other great feature in the Compendium is the art work which Pope Benedict (Emeritus) wanted to include as teaching material to bring home what the Catechism says in a different, traditional and beautiful way. The condition of the book I received and its price were astounding as the Compendium is now difficult to find at a reasonable price. There are pirate copies about which have been duplicated and do not show the illustrations in colour. If you know little now, read this and you'll know alot more! Excellent start.
Simple, clear, get to the, 'pull no punches', CATHOLIC TEACHING and why. The last 70 plus years of TEACHING has been a disater for Catholic TEACHING. This is perhaps a start in the right direction to correct at least one whole generation of mistaken beliefs and errant undertandings of what the Church actually teaches.
