Originally written in 1930 this scholarly volume provides a good overview of Roman remains to be found in Britain, categorised by type (forts, villas, temples, ceramics, coins etc). Especially useful to archaeology students, variances in building and pottery types are well documented and detailed. Definitely one for the more serious researcher rather than casual reader, or for those who want more detail about specific sites. Any book still in print after 50 years has to be worth a look...
It was an early edition of this book, but it had lots of interesting information in it.
