The copy I received is a 1985 reprint of the 1905 edition and it is an interesting browse for the historical text and illustrations but also, by 1905 most of the human body had been extensively mapped and the detailed illustrations in this book vary little from current anatomy illustrations. The Gray's Anatomy series is a classic used all over the world by medics and those doing home health care, especially in remote locations - I grew up on an isolated cattle ranch and a first 1905 edition of this book was on the bookshelf. I bought it partly for nostalgic reasons but also to understand more about my heart condition.
