"Touring Bikes: A Practical Guide by Tony Oliver is a comprehensive book published by T.H.E. Crowood Press LTD in 1990. Written in English, this hardcover book covers 176 pages and provides valuable insights into the world of sports biking. Tony Oliver's expertise and practical advice make this book a must-have for motorcycle enthusiasts looking to enhance their touring experience."
I'd intended finding a seller of this book and buying it a year or two ago (I even owned a Tony Oliver built bike once!) but because of its scarcity, the only options were very expensive.
This one, just shop soiled, from World of Books was for me, a real 'find' at the price.
As far as the book is concerned, it is to anyone interested in 20th century cycles and cycling, a very interesting read and useful reference work.
Tony Oliver, although he has now moved on to a new career in photography, was not only a brilliant designer/frame builder but also a very good writer as this book shows very clearly.
