About this product

Product Information

Dudley Moore is the poor boy from Essex who has become an international film star. The author has spoken to Moore himself, as well as friends and family, to put together this biography of his life. He first used humour at school to defend himself against bullying, and his mother encouraged his musical talents - he later spent time playing with the Johny Dankworth Band. At university he teamed up with Alan Bennett, Jonathon Miller and Peter Cook to form the satirical revue Beyond the Fringe , later progressing to television with Cook on Not Only...But Also . With films such as 10 and Arthur he became internationally known, and his marriages and personal relationships have kept him in the public eye.
