About this product

Product Information

Originally published in 1990 V for Vendetta is a frightening and powerful story about the loss of freedom in a totalitarian England. Written against a background of third term Thatcherism and tabloid rants against minorites this is a work of startling clarity and intelligence. Everything that comics weren't supposed to be. Returning to print after a long absence fans of Alan Moore, old and new can now enjoy this remarkable piece of storytelling - a true classic of comic literature.

  • Both Product and Service impeccable.

As from day one, Alan Moore's productions have been absolutely 1st-rate. I'd highly recommend this to ANYONE with an interest in quality storytelling & an eye to sci-fi, horror & just plain, old humanity. Every character is credible, every scene the same, & when the little girl whispers, semi-cheekily, "bollocks", my heart was 100% with her, as should yours be, and as with the utterly tear-jerking scene where the old copper waves goodbye & begs forgiveness of his now-lost "coloured, yids & queers." It's utterly heartbreaking, as it should be, &, on my 1st reading, so many years ago, it had me quite rightly in tears. I truly hope it has the same effect on you. Thank you, Mr. Moore, a thousand times thank you.
