This is absolutely brilliant!! I bought one for myself 3 months ago and although I could use softner with it I realised I no longer needed one (I've now just bought an ECOEGG for my sister). I love this ECOEGG. My washing is as clean if not cleaner than with my previous detergent. It not only saves money but as I don't have a car I no longer have to carry heavy bags of detergent and softner home and up 68 stairs!!! not a golden egg.
I thought this egg would be magic and save money and the Environment but it wasn't any good. It had no smell despite saying it had. The egg made an awful noise in the machine. Bits of white plastic came off it and stuck on your clothes It made your socks and other clothes bobbly where it bashed them about so much. it didn't clean the clothes well. In fact it was useless.
