Two Great authors, one Great book.
Two great authors, one great book. I watched the series on TV and the book is as always better, a funny, descriptive, excellently written, easy to read novel. Following characters through the lead up to the apocalypse! Good for all ages. Two genius sides of the fantasy coin create a work that will surely last forever
The perfect marriage of myth, mirth and mayhem set against a background of the coming apocalypse. And you get to find out what star sign the Earth is. ( Surely its worth reading just to find out how its day is going to pan out today, isn't it?) Pratchett was a weaver of wonderful worlds and words while Gaiman's sharper darker edge to to his works combine in Good Omens to create a book that I have read and lent out so many times over the last 20 years that I have had to replace my copy. One of my favourite books
This book is wonderfully enjoyable; I have read it at least 8 times. I often still laugh out loud at the classic Pratchett wit and it never disappoints. an all-time Top Ten book
It's in my top 10 all time favourite books, along with Catch 22, Slapstick, Breakfast of Champions, Hitchhikers 'trilogy', Stardust etc. I've re-read it over again as it is just so funny.
