  • Very well written account of a fascinating family

Superb book. If you are visiting Florence, or just curious about the Medici family from the Netflix series, this book provides a detailed but very readable account of their rise and fall in fortunes over the 14th and 15th centuries. Probably in my top 3 books on the Medici - and there are many books to choose.
