I love this wide blade GHD. I've had my narrow blade GHD for over 8 years and thought it was time for a change. WOW....It's amazing! I wish I had have bought it years ago. Disappointing result for reputation of the product
GHD is meant to be the gold standard in straighteners so I saved up to try it. My hair is course with strong waves - even with smoothing/heat treatment product I am unable to get a silky smooth finish with the GHD. I have a smaller straightener that I bought in Asia that does a better job and was only $15! It's just too small to do my whole head in a reasonable time frame. I did go to a store and ask about the GHD and get tips on how I could improved the result - it was suggested that I need to go over the hair multiple times and in very small batches, I did this and the result improved but still not ideal. The wide plates are good for my shoulder length hair and it heats up very quickly, and is easy to use. If you have course, wavy hair there may be a better product for you than the GHD - happy to hear what that may be!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
