Clear, balanced sound - well designed and easy to use.
The description of this product is inaccurate (it doesn't have a UKW/MW tuner (I don't even know what UKW means and it doesn't have an MW tuner - just FM and DAB). Luckily, since virtually nobody transmits on MW any more that doesn't really matter. It's a very good piece of kit - good sound quality, plenty of power, and accurate phono equalisation. Even the surround sound seems natural and unobtrusive. I prefer to leave it turned off, but that's just me and my old-school prejudices. It drives my 6 Ohm Monitor Audio speakers perfectly happily (unlike many other amps). There are only two down-sides: 1) It's a little over-reliant on the remote control. Without the remote it's impossible to control the surround sound or perform a factory reset, and very difficult to re-tune the DAB stations. The only way I could do that was to leave the unit on overnight so it switched itself into standby mode, then perform a factory reset as per the manual so that when DAB was selected it would automatically re-scan for DAB stations. Fortunately replacement remotes are available on eBay at very reasonable prices :-) 2) The back panel is rather flimsy so if it's dropped the panel may be damaged.
