Definitely worth having but a long way from perfect
Not easy and you need to want to learn the language. I think the approach of listening to the teaching of two students is an extremely valuable approach. The quality of the session however whilst being quite reasonable for an evening class is remarkably rough for one of the leading cd's available. Weaknesses would include Michel's pronounciation in English which leads to confustion on more than one occasion. His comparatively poor diction in some areas is also a worry given in the absence of any native speakers Michel is the sole source of Italian pronounciation guidance. Not his best work
I use MT a lot for different languages but this particular set is not very good. His voice seems distorted and the accent is quite difficult to understand. It's okay if you speak the language quite well as I do but even then it can be a struggle. Value would depend on how much you pay for it.
