  • Works well

I recently bought a Honda Civic mk8 (2006) stereo has an "aux" function but nowhere to actually plug anything into it, this adapter allowed me to do just that. There were two listed, this one says it's for a Honda Accord, however, the product code for the adapter is the same for the Accord as it is for the Civic, the price was lower for the Accord adapter. The build quality is reasonable, I have mine tucked away under the gearstick assembly so it's out of sight. It is quite bulky but with a bit of thought it can be hidden, I can't see the point of it being on display unless you want to regularly unplug it? I have an "Aukey" Bluetooth adapter plugged into the 3.5mm jack so I can use my phone without trailing cables across my car. The sound quality is fine, unfortunately the speakers in my car are not the best quality, but the music from my phone sounds better than the radio. This device is very useful, I do think it's a little bit expensive for what it does, yes I can connect anything with a 3.5mm port but that's it, there are no controls from the steering wheel or the stereo itself, other than volume. Considering all the components within the adapter box (yes I opened it up to see what was inside) I would have liked it to offer more control. I would recommend it, but shop around, there could be a bargain to be had.

  • Andy

Got the connect 2 today and had it up and running in an hour, go to YouTube to find out what you need to take off to get at the cd unit, the sound quality is good and now I can free up some space taken up by cds!

  • Great to listen to

If you want to listen to your iPod or iPhone (not iPhone 7) (or other 3.5mm jack output device) then get this, easy- ish to fit (YouTube), only thing as a negative is doesn't charge phone or iPod, but sound is great and clear

  • Excellent Product

This adapter plugs into the cd changer port and gives aux in capability selectable form the original controls on Honda FRV head unit. Very good quality product and sound. Have used same product on Toyota Previa with excellent results. The only difficult part is getting access to the back of the head units (much harder on the FRV!)

  • Great to solution to a baffling problem!

For some reason some cars with oem stock stereo have been made without AUX ports on them. I couldn't believe my 2008 Honda civic mk8 did not come with an AUX, despite having an AUX button listed on front of the stereo. With this this Connects2device that plugs into the back of the stereo's cd changer port, i'm able to enjoy the features of AUX again allowing me to plug my ipod, mobile phone or any other mp3 player/device that has an headphone jack.

  • Works as described.

Easy to install if you follow instructions on YouTube videos. Hardest bit is deciding where to stick the box and where to have the wire come out, but that's cosmetic, not functional. It works perfectly, although I replaced the provided minijack cable with my own longer one. You just press the aux button on the radio and your own tunes come out. A must-have for long journeys in any car that only has radio and tape/CD like mine.

  • Does what it says on the tin.

I tried fitting a new head unit to my Mark 8 Type R, long story short, don’t bother. This little box is much less hassle, it plugs into the back of your original CD player, and by drilling a small hole in the back of the cubby hole above the gear stick, you have an AUX cord available to use. Simple and effective.

  • Does what it should. Good sound quality.

Fitted easily to rear of head unit of 2007 2.2 cdti ES Civic. Follow youtube vids on how to get to head unit. 3.5mm lead could be longer but can easily/cheaply replace if needed. Good product.
