The original hardback did it much better justice, and there has been one paperback edition that was good. But most are meagre, both in format and quality of paper (now browning). What a fascinating insight into the life of a travelling family through the eyes of a young girl. She gives you a real feel of what her life was truly like on the road. Her days spent in a school where she was always picked on was an eye opener too. A brilliant read which I recommend.
