Good LORD...
... be ready to be amazed. I was running dual subwoofers prior to purchasing this, and even those two together didn't match this one. It will reach clear down into the pits of the earth to 17 Hz, and you won't hear it but you'll feel it, and it can hit so fast and hard that it will startle you, partly because of the sound and partly because it shakes the entire room and the chair you're sitting in. It feels like a massage chair. The only thing you might need to plan ahead for is a place to put it, even if you've done the subwoofer crawl and have your placement, make sure there's room because this sub is big. It's deeper than it is wide or high. I bought a 90 degree RCA connector, and had an angled plug power cord from something else to use, and placed it as tight to the wall as I could. In any case, this thing is a beast. With a 500 watt RMS, DSP Sledge amp that peaks at 1,120 watts, alone it's absolutely astounding. I wouldn't say anyone needs more than just one unless you plan on filing an auditorium, or ticking off your neighbors, or want to rattle your house off it's foundation, or just love bass, or maybe all of the above, but two, or more, would be something to behold. Something few probably ever experience. Bottom line, BUY THIS SUB. I don't think there's anything on the planet that can compete with it at it's price range. You can spend a whole lot more on a sub for sure, and you can be paying for looks and name recognition, but if what you want is a bass bang for the buck, you can NOT beat this sub, seriously, grill on, grill off, it's amazing either way.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic Subwoofer
I did a mountain of research. This sub just kept showing up in every review. 1. It is VERY big. I read that in the reviews, but you don't get the full impact until you un-box it. Every time I look at it, it makes me smile. 2. It is beautiful! 3. The sound is earth shattering. You can feel this sub. It is subtle and in your face at the same time. It took a few hours to get things setup correctly with my system (Onkyo RZ810 in 7.1 mode) but once I did, all I can say is WOW. I downloaded suggested music tracks that would showcase the subs ability (search for subwoofer music test) and musically this sub keeps up with no problems at all. Since I am a big Home Theater guy, I had to test it with my UHD version of battleship and then Jason Bourne. This sub really shines here. My room shook. But the best part is that it picks up and adds to sounds that my old subwoofer missed. This thing fills in so much it just makes me happy! Did I mention that every time I look at it, it makes me smile? A note: I did purchase the SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System (rubber isolation feet) and that makes a huge difference.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best subwoofer under a $1000.00
I am primarily using this subwoofer for my home theatre and a some music. This thing is a subtle beast and what I mean is that the bass is tight but can and will shake your family room floor when it’s needed. It works beautifully with my 7.2 system and if your into movies you’ll love this subwoofer. I have had some of the brands in subwoofers and have paid a lot more and this subwoofer puts them to shame.
