Good when you get used to it
Impressed with the quality of the wrench. The strap looks like it will last a long time and is probably 3+mm thick. However... it took a little bit of adjusting to get the angles right for the handle to catch on the strap effectively - not used a strap wrench before, probably down to me? The oil filter was immovable until I used the strap wrench and I got it off with relative ease in the end. All in all good VFMVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Only for use on larger items
The strap on this item is quite rigid / inflexible - so is not good for wrapping around small diameter objects. I bought the strap to remove an obstinate oven light cover (80mm dia) and the strap was not flexible enough to grip it. I have no doubt it would be suitable for use with a much larger diameter vehicle oil filter. It just didn't work for the application I bought it for. I have recommended it - but have not tested it on a vehicle application. It didn't cost much so was worth the attempt.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I finally got round to using it yesterday. The purpose I used it for, was to hold a flywheel steady on a motorcycle engine in order to under the bolt.
