Looks great but failed
Never having used coated strings before, I decided to give these a go. I strung up my guitar and was pleased with the look of the strings, however they did seem to dull the tone slightly. I persevered with them and after just a few weeks of light playing, I felt something on the 12th fret of the B string catching on one of my fingers. After closer examination i saw there was a 2 mm gap in the Black coating, allowing the string core to show through. It feels most uncomfortable if I slide my finger across it and certainly doesn't make for smooth slides up or down the neck. The more I use the guitar, the worse gets, it's now about 4 mm. I've included a photo so anyone reading this review can see what I mean. As you can see, my frets are all in perfect condition and can't be the reason for the failure. Personally, I won't be purchasing another set.
