About this product

Product Information

Offers an organizing idea to help both the caring community and the interested public cut through the chaos caused by so many different models. It aims to enable psychotherapy and counselling to move forward from an agreed basis of what it means to be a healthy human being, using what really works to help when things go wrong. Among other topics, they describe our natural inheritance of instinctive behaviour, explore mind/body functioning, explain why people have problems and show why some therapy approaches work and others don't.

  • A concise overview, from 'the horse's mouth'.

Don't be discouraged by this slim paperback. It covers the emergence of Ivan Tyrrell's excellent ideas in essay style. I am revisiting this topic after a 15yr gap. The insights have not dated. This is testament to Ivan Tyrrell's sound model of The Human Givens. I now closely follow the work of Ivan Tyrell's son Mark Tyrrell of Uncommon Knowledge Hypnosis training and downloads. This book gives the reader a potted history of the Human Givens. It can easily compliment any psychology or therapy theory or practice. A super slim volume that is greater than the sum of its pages. Highly recommended.
