    Fryer

I only have one concern with this deep fat fryer is you can't fold the handle inside once you've got your cooking oil in it without the handle laying in oil. Sticking out like it does its likely to get knocked off or small children could reach the handle and pull it over them selfs. Other than that its the best iv.e used for quickness and for cleaning.

  • Most critical review

    Very poor design.

The outer sides of the heating element in the oil tank are higher than the central part which makes the cooking basket tilt to the left or to the right. It does not sit flat in the bowl. Please read other peoples reviews saying the same thing. I got rid of my annoying russell hobbs fryer and bought a different brand in which the basket sits level on the heating element.

  • Dodgy backet.

I have owed one of these before and it was great. It was a different make but same design. The heater rails in the bottom, which the basket sits on are not flat and the basket keeps sliding off to one side or the other and if the basket was full of chips, I think it would tip some out over the side. I could not be bothered to send back, as it was cheap and it took 6 days to deliver with fast and free.

  • Unsuitable product

This fryer is not well made ,I put 2 liters of oil in the pan, this was barely enough to touch the bottom of the basket, which did not sit very well onto the heater element.. Though the fryer is low cost it is not suitable for my need of a small economical deep fryer. I did not bother to try to use it so recovered the oil and cleaned it thoroughly. Next stop for it is a Charity Shop.

  • Russell Hobbs Prof 3 litre fryer in stainless steel

Compact slim design which fits away nicely underneath the kitchen cupboards on the worktop. Easy to pull out and plug in to use. Heats up quickly and is convenient in use. Frees up space on the gas hob for other pots or saute frying pan. No problems found with cleaning. Definitely recommend buying one of these.

  • You can see how the food is cooking so it doesn't get overcooked.

Nice and compact easy to clean.

  • Poor design and quailty

Not impressed with the build/component quality of the fryer. Mainly, why did they not include a stainless steel reservoir/bowl into the design for the cooking oil? Instead of using a stainless steel bowl, they went for what seems to be a much cheaper lightweight steel bowl coated with??..Is the coating non-stick, teflon??

  • Have 2

I have 2 of these and they are not the best in the world the bad but for what you pay they are good value for money the basket handle needs a bit of work

Very good product, just that the basket doesn’t sit in the fryer properly.
