Onkyo TX-NR757 7.2 Receiver
Having an Onkyo TX-SR805 I am familiar with the necessary chore of configuring a receiver, this was a replacement. Changing over the existing speakers was fairly easy. I suggest you take your time, and label each set of wires for accuracy. Due to the TX-NR757 having more HDMI Inputs I added a few additional hdmi cables and removed the fiber and RGB inputs. I also only used one input to the TV and transferred the PC to the Onkyo. The onscreen interface was fairly easy to use, only because I had already planned out the input and output interface for each piece of equipment.
I used the room equalizer to allow the unit to adjust itself and then did the test. The sound was clear with each speaker and channel filling the room. I tested the Amazing Spider-man on the bluray and noticed a viable difference in both visual and audio, Dolby adds more distinctive sounds than THX, but both are very good.
The weight is about half the TX-SR805 and the unit meets expectations.
