Author:Hooker, Sir Stanley. Not Much of an Engineer. Book Binding:Hardback. Book Condition:VERYGOOD. A new book will be sold once but their stories can be enjoyed by more than one owner. After all, a story doesn't change because it's been read before!
This isn't a regular Autobiography, it is more to do with Engineering the use of mathematics in solving problems (you do not need to understand maths to follow the story) and developing jet Engines, plus business management.
But if that is your bag, it is a cracking good read. With the added bonus of how the Rolls Royce Merlin engine was improved and helped beat the Axis powers in WW2, it was the Engine that made and powered the P-51 Mustang, as well as the Lancs and Spits etc.
And how in the 1960s/70s RB211 jet engine, nearly wrecked, but then saved, Rolls Royce Aero Engines:-))
