    Go see Spot!

This product ships from Federal Way, Washington State - the last home of Cal Worthington and his "dog" Spot :p Unlike a used car, this is a quality product and has worked perfectly out of the box. In the future, I'd hope it was actually Made in the USA rather than shipped from there and that's what if normally stick to but this was great this time. It cuts even small organic apples perfectly. Thanks guys.

  • Most critical review

Used once daily after nine months blades are now dull and it is very hard to push through the apple!

I got this slicer as I have a food dehydrator and the regular apple slicers leave the apples too thick for effective dehydration (I had to cut apples sliced by the 8 piece slicer again in half once more manually.) This slicer creates slices that are a better, thinner size for dehydration. That being said, I've had this for nine months and now the blades on this slicer are already dull. I've used this item just once a day for the past 9 months. I would rather pay more and get something with a lifetime guarantee than have something that gets dull blades that result in 'hard to cut' apples after 9 months! I'm presuming these blades are like the razar blades you use on your face and have to replace again and again. I've never seen a 'replaceable blade' apple slicer but think that would be something that would 'sell' if someone decides to design this. Here is what I imagine: YOu would have a twist in plastic piece that would be like a jar lid that could screw off and onto the bottom part of the circular base with a new set of blades. The blades should though be of better quality and last at LEAST one year and then you could sell the original product for maybe $15 with a 1 year warranty and then replacement blades for $7. If a person bought a replacement set every year that would add up to a lot of revenue for the company that would sell this. As a consumer though my suggestion is to make this product as a 'lifetime guarantee' and sell it for $40 or $50. Put in really good quality blades..I"m presuming ANY blades get dull and tough to cut the apples after a year or two...but someone should really create blades that would last a lifetime...or at LEAST for five years at a time

  • Nifty Little Gadget

This works extremely well at making an apple very easy to eat without any mess. In basically two motions of this device, you will have a pile of slices and and a core you can just throw away. Eating an apple has never been easier, cleaner (I have a mustache) and quicker since I purchased this little apple slicer. I would highly recommend it to you.

  • I like the push out die feature the best

IT works very well and better after I sharpened the center core cutter.

  • Almost perfect

This slicer is great for two reasons. First, the slicer creates 16 pieces which is good for pies or snacking. Second, the bottom cover allows the user to push the apple completely through the blades. The blades could be sharper, however and the bottom cover could be a little snugged fit as to limit the leftover apple waste caught in between the blades.

  • A better apple slicer!

Love it! Love the thin slices it makes! Love that the bottom pushes up to complete the cut through bottom of apple, so apple pieces don't get stuck! (Tip: better to use smaller sized apples.)

  • Great 12 slicer for pies and crisps.

Works as promised. Great to get thinner slices of uniform size for crisps and pies A little hard to slice my 1st Honeycrisp apple, but no harder than any other slicer. Much neater clean-up.

  • Convinient even thin apple slices

Finally had time to try it. Works nice, even slices and separated core. Depending on the skin density of the apple you have to push down harder on the slicer handles. So far I like it.

  • I love this thing!

Great product! Don't use on humungous apples though, but it's pretty good for small to medium sized! Imagine could use this on potatoes too.
