Excellent book by a well known and respected railway author by whom I already have other books and have met at railway shows. A relatively obscure topic in the world of railways. My interest brought about by visiting a relative in the area very recently and realising what an interesting part of the UK this is, not just for railways but also, being opposite Portsmouth for naval and general military history and seeing some of this history whilst there. I looked for books on the Gosport railways on the return home and this fitted exactly what I was looking for. There are a couple of other books on this topic that I will be acquiring together with maps and will be retunring to explore further.
