Battery Tender Jr has design flaw
The Battery Tender Junior initially functions well, and settles on maintenance charge of 13.2VDC. Just days after purchase, a nearby thunderstorm caused a power surge that killed this charger. I had 3 of these just-purchased chargers on motorcycles, and all 3 died! Nothing else in the entire house was damaged, including two cheap old-school Harbor Freight maintainers. Another problem is that this charger causes fairly serious radio interference on the AM broadcast band when the charger is connected to a battery in a vehicle where the mass of the vehicle causes the noise to radiate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good maintainer charger
The Battery Tender Jr works good for maintaining the charge on car truck and tractor batteries when they are not being used especially over winter. I have even charged a set of 4 12 volt batteries on a semi when they wouldn't start the truck but it does take 2 weeks to do this. Works great
This is my second 12V Deltran Tender Jr. I kept moving the first around and decided it was time to own a second. It works great, easy to connect and sure appears to extend the life of my small 12V batteries. I use it on the lawn tractor, my small John Deere tractor and my 4 wheeler.
