If you are considering turning pens on a lathe you should get this book.
Having been a pen turner for a short time I thought that I knew quite a bit. This book has shown me, in a good way, that my knowledge was definitely lacking in some areas. This is a very well written and informative book. If you are considering doing pen turning or even if you have already started pen turning I would advise you to get this book. The only (slightly) down side for me is that I am in the U.K. and the book is american, so any products referred to are american and you have to find out what the U.K. equivalent is.
