A great action cam with one drawback imo.
This review is for this model of the camera I bought. It is not feedback for the seller of my particular camera. I don't think it is as easy to use as say... a typical phone camera. I will explain below.
It's a great camera for v logging. The one annoying hassle I have with it is when it turns the photo mode on after I have set the camera to video. I think that GoPro should put a separate switch on the camera for the different modes instead of using the same button for power on/off.
If you use the phone app for the camera, be sure to turn the camera off when finished with the app. The app turns the camera on and it is easy to forget, leading to a flat battery in your gopro when you want to use.
I also think that it should have its own wind deflector/dead cat for its microphones. The built in microphones a pretty useless on windy days or bike rides etc.
It isn't a toy as some people suggest. You can do great videos with this camera. Sure, it won't record raw or prores files like the cinema cameras do, but it is not meant for cinema quality footage. A flip screen would come in handy although I doubt it would be practical for the manufacturer. Maybe in the future with a different design?
