Good quality and good price.
I bought this to replace an existing socket that had been damaged. It was an upgrade on the old one with an RCD inbuilt. It is well built and easy to install. This would have got a five star rating apart from one small niggle, when the plug is in the socket it is difficult to close the cover and even harder to open it again. This is because the cable gripper is too full. I had to remove some of the rubber that grips the cable before I could open and close the cover. I was using three core cable for a water feature so maybe a thinner cable would not make it so difficult. That apart it is still a quality product.

Does the job
Once it was installed to the wall it was sealed to the wall with clear silicon around the edges of the socket. When it was used a few days later after a bit of rain I noticed some water droplets on the face of the socket after I’d lifted the cover. Closer examination revealed that the rain had most likely got in through the hinges which are on top of the socket. This looks like a design fault. I have packed the hinge slots with grease so I would expect this to eliminate the problem but not yet checked.

Good value, easy to install, I will probably install another of them.
May need some lubricant / silicon spray , to prevent the latches from sticking in the locked position. Other than that it is a real pleasure to have power in the garden. With hindsight, I would install it at waist height, where it would be easier to open and close.

Looks good. easy to install. Seems robust enough. The closure catches are a bit difficult to engage and open. Probably get easier with use. It is safer to use this type of socket with garden tools etc. I have since bought ANOTHER one as I was pleased with the first. the new one will go outside the new shed being built in the garden.

Outside power
Mowing the lawn is so much easier now I have an outside double socket with RCD protection no more extension leads running through the house to the outside. The socket is a great quality item with professional endorsement (as seen on u-tube ) tithe price was better than with other retail outlets that I use so overall very pleased with this purchase

I have not had chance to install it yet but can say the quality is very good and well made and the only problem I've had is trying to un-clip the cover which is very hard and may be liable to break with too much pressure otherwise should be fine.
