Shimano obviously didn't do the necessary research and development concerning the Dura Ace and Ultegra cranksets regarding the delamination of the crank arms in the 9100 and the associated Ultegra series. They also delayed telling the public about it. The company has had shops inspect these and will replace those found faulty. This does not address the crank arms that might fail in the future resulting in injury to the cyclist. The 105 series are not subject to the issue as they are made differently. This is the only safe and smart way to go should you decide to stay with the Shimano groupset. The 105 is a good groupset choice anyway, being good value and performance for the money. I highly recommend this crankset.
