Good alternative heat source for your pool
A good, passive, alternative heat source for heating your pool, but of course it requires bright hot sunshine. We live near the NY-Canada border and on good hot summer days these panels can raise our pool temp 5-7 degrees F. (we have a 26,000 Gallon 18x36 pool and six of these 2x20 panels on our south-facing roof). They MUST be well drained before winter though or ice will form inside and pop holes in the thin polyproplene tubes. We had to replace panels because of this ($$$) but have now learned our lesson to drain well! The panels are expensive but it's hopefully only a one time cost so much cheaper than gas/oil/propane pool heating... as long as the the sun shines, of course.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

2nd set of Solar panels
They are definitely worth it because they do their job. Unfortunately only lasted one season and it was leaking from the panels. Little holes were spraying out the water that runs through it. Panels are installed on a small roof that gets plenty of sunlight. Luckily the price is cheap enough to replace. Installation is easy if you lay out the panels during the day to heat up and get the memory of the packing out of it.
