Pricey but worth every penny
This unit works as intended. We use it in a grow tent system. We did of course have to modify it somewhat to fit our needs, i.e. we hot glued a flexible 6" duct to it as it was actually putting out too much moisture (it was blowing directly onto plants causing them and the scrog to stay wet.) Now the condensate stays in the duct (with a small hose directing it back to the res) and we have the perfect amount of humidity in our tents. If you were using this in an open area, you wouldn't have any issues. A word of advice. I see a lot of comments such as "makes my floor wet" or "the mist is scaly", "ruined my books", etc. Understand this - if you plug this in "as is" and simply walk away, you will over humidify your room in no time flat. You need to go to a hydro store or a reputable on-line store and buy a "good" control unit (Titan controls Saturn 4, etc) that monitors the humidity and cycles the unit on/off when needed (then you won't have a wet floor, books, etc) Air in a room can only hold so much moisture before it goes somewhere you don't want it to. If the units leaving a scaly mess, it's YOUR water. Try using filtered RO water or distilled. Remember, this is a "commercial grade" unit, and it acts like one.
