Good product but doesn't install well on all window types
This is a good product and easy to set up but it might not work for all windows. I have very little space on the side of my window for the contact and I have tilt in windows for cleaning. I installed these and then found out that as soon as we tilt the windows in to clean them, it will rip out the contact. The sensor is on the window itself but there is no way for me to avoid this. So what I'll have to do is have extra two side tape so that when it's ripped off the side, we can clean the windows, put them back in, and then reinstall the contacts. It's a pain but we only do that sort of cleaning in the fall and spring so twice a year.

One of the sensors has never worked properly since day 1. Ring technical assistance already tried to help by resetting the product, but no luck. I am stuck with trying to get a new via warranty. Part of an amazingly good alarm system
These contact sensors are amazingly easy to install. I installed all of mine using the supplied double-stick tape. The two halves merely have to be installed within 1/2 inch of each other. All 13 of the contact sensors I installed are working perfectly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ring, Great Alternative!
Ring alarm system is a much cheaper alarm system than paying $30-$40 a month for ADT, or Bay Alarm. You must have good internet, even though it's backed up by cellular system.I love it and it works well!

Better for some applications than Gen 2 sensor
I actually like this sensor better than the Gen 2 for some applications. It does not have the range that the Gen 2 does, meaning the two halves have to be pretty close to work reliably, but this is smaller that the Gen 2 and works better in a situation where space is an issue.
