My title says it all--this chain is lightweight, smooth & quiet. I was getting a "click" on every crank rotation on a chain that was only 750 miles old. After checking all other possible sources of the noise, I decided to replace the chain with a KMC X11SL chain and "voila, everything was right again. The KMC is now my "go to" chain so I keep a supply handy for replacement on all of my bikes. I also like that it uses a master link instead of a pressed-in pin to connect ends so that it is easy to remove for cleaning or for other maintenance on the bike.

This chain is light and durable. The biggest reason I use it is it outlasts both Shimano and Sram name brand chains and shifts extremely well.

KMC chains are by far the best chains I've ever used. The X11 design is superb with grooves to help eliminate road dust, dirt and grime. Its light weight and far superior to any Shimano chain. I've had several of these and replaced a Shimano Dura Ace chain that come on my new bike with this chain.

The KMC X11SL came installed as original equipment with Shimano Ultegra 11 speed components. The original chain worked perfectly but was wearing down so I decided to replace it with the same model. I removed a few extra links with a chain tool to size it to my bike and then snapped it on with the included quick link. The KMC chain works very well on my Shimano equipment bike and I plan to order another one when this one becomes worn.

great value, if you want to spend more for a colored chain that works just the same, then by all means spend your money. missing link is bonus, but follow instructions when installing. may have some problem out on the trails trying to remove the missing link without chain/needlenose pliers

Very good chain. Fairly light. Seems to last around 2500 miles by the time it reaches .5 worn on the chain checker, which is when I replace it. I've used these chains for years on the 3 major group sets. Only quibble is one has to clean the factory grease off the outside of the chain when new, as it makes the cassette sticky and both pick up dirt.

Lightweight and looks good. I was afraid it wouldn't work good but is nice and quiet. The gold has a nice pop and looks even better on the bike, it has enough bling to it but not too gawty looking. Just right!

I am using this chain with an 11 speed Campagnolo EPS drive train. Shifts great. Not many miles on it, so we will see how it proves in terms of durability.

Lightweight, strong, and very long wearing... I've used this chain on multiple bikes for a couple years now... I average 1,200 - 1,300 mi on my MTB and even more on my road bike....

All of our Bikes- Road, Mountain, Cyclocross, TT, Track, BMX have ran KMC Chains. I've heard someone complain about their KMC experience. Not for us. All Our experiences have been exceptional performance, with unbelievable durability. Note: I clean our drivetrains regularly for reliability and efficiency.
